Admission Process For NRI students

The Admission Process for the academic year 2013-14 has commenced in the school. There are limited vacancies available in KG to class XI. Interested parents are requested to contact the school office between 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM on any working day.

Mentioned below is, step-by-step, admission process for your kind reference.

 

STEP : 1 (Obtaining Admission Form on the basis of Age Criteria)

For entry into Jr. KG, the student must have attained the age of 3+ years by 31st March 2013. The boarding facility is available from class V onwards (Optional). Parents meeting the age criteria could acquire the Application Form along with School Prospectus from school office against payment of Rs. 600/- or it could be downloaded from the link given below.

STEP : 2 (Submitting Admission Form & collecting Admit Card)

The Application Form, completed in all aspects, needs to be submitted along with supporting documents listed hereunder:

  • A copy of previous and current year's Mark Sheets

  • Certified English copy of ward's Birth Certificate

  • Medical Fitness Certificate (Click here to Download)

  • Psychological Report (Click here to Download)

  • Special achievements/awards certificates if any, and

  • 10 latest passport-size photographs of the student

  • 1 passport-size photograph of the father & mother each

 

After submission of Application Form, an telephonic interview of the student and the parent with the Principal will be organized and parents will be issued Provisional Admission Offer letter which will be sent through email to parents or the local guardian could come to the school and collect it.

 

STEP : 3 (Entrance Test)

On the basis of the telephonic interview, if it is recommended by the Principal, Interaction session will be organized by the school after fixing timings with the parents. The session will be conducted for the following subjects:

  • Class III to V  : English, Mathematics, Environmental Studies & Hindi
  • Class VI to IX  : English, Mathematics, Science & Hindi

 

The interaction session will be based on basic concepts and skills of the grade the student is studying. i.e. In the Interaction session of class V, the questions will be based on syllabus of class IV. Calculators or other electronic devices are not permitted during the Interaction session.

 

STEP : 4 (Results of Interaction session and Personal Interaction)

Once the results are ready, it will be notified to the parents by telephone or email. For the students not performing up to the mark, the parent/guardian would be asked to submit undertaking along with extra payment of fees for extra coaching of required subjects (only for hostellers). Day school parents would have to manage extra coaching on their own.

 

STEP : 5 (Submission of Documents & Payment of Fees)

Offer of admission is followed by the following formalities.

  • Filling-up Undertaking Forms

  • Application for opting lunch Facility (Only for Day School students)

  • Confirming for the bus routes (School buses ply on fixed pick up points only; the bus route are not changed during entire academic year.)

  • Confirmed Admission Offer letter will be issued after having final personal interaction with Principal at the time of joining the school. If a candidate fails to fulfill the major admission criteria especially academically and physically, then the final authority regarding approval of the admission of a student to the school lies with the Principal.

Payment of fees:

First Installment

The first installment of fees must be paid within 10 days of receiving Provisional Admission Offer letter. Failing to which the school reserves right to cancel the admission without notice. Parents will have to submit the local cheque or DD in favour of “SGVPGA” payable at Ahmedabad.

Second Installment and all further payment of fees:

  1. Parent are requested to make the said payments at any branch of the ICICI Bank through specified pay-in slip with School account Code “SGVPGA” only. Blank Pay-in-Slip can be obtained from school office or it could be downloaded from this website. (Click here to Download) Please note that Non MICR Cheque are not be accepted.

  2. While filling-up the Pay-in–Slip, write the name of your ward, GR. No, Standard/Grade, Division and Amount very clearly.

  3. Parents may pay the fees by local Cheques or DD only. Cheque/DD should be drawn in favour of “SGVPGA”. Please mention Name, Standard and Division of student and contact number on the back side of the Cheque.

  4. It is MANDATORY to submit the 'school copy' of Pay-in-Slip after making the payment.

  5. It is required to retain the proof of school fee payment for at least a year after the date of payment.

  6. Late payment fee of Rs.50/- per day is charged up to one month of the last last date of the fee payment, failing which may result in cancellation of admission.

  7. It is the responsibility of the parents to ensure that fees are credited to the school account within specified time limit.

 

  • Parents have to submit School Leaving Certificate (duly countersigned by Education Officer of concerned Education Board) after the admission is confirmed.

  • Migration Certificate (only for admission in class XI)

  • Parents will have to submit Medical Fitness Certificate & Psychological Report (duly filled up by Medical Practitioner & Psychiatrist.)

  • Authentic & authorized certificate for SC / ST / OBC including Baxi Panch should be submitted, if applicable.

  • Passport photocopy for only NRI Student. It will be the responsibility of NRI Parents to complete all the required legal formalities pertaining to student’s visa for study in India and to register ward’s name at the city commissioner’s office by filling FORM : A (Registration of foreigner’s rules 1939) at Ahmedabad and to submit the copy of registration OR photo copy of PIO CARD (Persons of Indian Origin Card) after admission is confirmed.

 

STEP : 6 (Welcome Package)

All details about school schedule, school calendar, procurement of textbook-notebook, uniform, & other materials will be provided in Student-Parents Handbook in our welcome Package later on.  The new academic session will begin on Monday, the 10st June 2013 after the Summer Break, the hostellers would have to report to the hostel on Saturday, the 8th June 2013 by 6:00 PM.
